Economical--Fixed cost. Low equipment cost and service fees. Coverage--Systems designed for better in-building performance, superior to other wireless products and fast notification. Battery Life--No charging! A pager can go for weeks or months on a single AA or AAA battery. Size--Still smaller than most cell phones. Call Screening--Customer determines when, where to return call.

Why is paging the best and least expensive way to warn the public during an emergency?
A:
Because of "group call"--a paging feature that allows us to alert almost an unlimited number of people with a single radio transmission. A paging signal is less likely to be blocked by obstructions and costs a fraction of other wireless technologies. Paging is a mature technology and works very well.

How can I be sure a page is sent and received?
A:
With a "cc:" or carbon copy feature, a copy of each page that is sent (along with the time and date) is sent to an e-mail address. This option is less than 2 cents per day.
